Well it's a new year and I've been creating new Halloween art.  Recently I have had some collectors asking me to create bigger items for sale.  If you know me then you know I typically make smaller things.  I love creating tiny things.  So I got to thinking and decided to challenge myself and see if I could create something much larger.  I just recently finished my first large piece.

Let me introduce to you "Sticky the Candyman Clown"

Sticky stands about 13 inches tall.  He is holding a tray of all different kinds of Halloween Candy!   There is eyeball jaw breakers, candy corn, popcorn, rotten chocolate teeth, ghost licorice, poison lollipops, and many more.

Another item I recently made was a small Halloween doll.  I have named her Wednesday.  She measure 6 inches tall.  Thats typically the size figure I produced.

"Wednesday the Wickedly Charming Daughter"

In addition I have created two more items.

"Sweet Little Pale Faced Hazel" holding her little skeleton doll

"Bonita the Boney Temptress/Day of the Dead"

"She killing me in a good way"  Love her!!!!

I'm hoping to be able to create more Whimsical Spookies for you throughout this following year.  I'll continue to post pictures of all the paper mache screams!!

Dressing up for Halloween 2016

I thought I would share with you how I dressed up for Halloween this year.  Also it was my grandsons first Halloween.  He came to visit grandma on the weekend.  I just loved his little costume. Meet little Benny! He was the cutest Mickey Mouse I've ever seen.

Spooky and Sweet!

Some of my favorite things.  I love my spider lantern, owls and my papier mache halloween candies!

Add paper halloween shapes to the inside of your lamps.  I added bats that I bought at target.  You could download images from the internet if you choose.  Just print and cut out shapes.  It should give you the same result.

Carnevil Halloween Party

I went to a Carnevil themed Halloween Party over the weekend. I decided to go as a clown. I know with all the drama going on with the clowns you think I would choose something else. But I don't think I ended up to scary.

Halloween Pillow

Ok You say another pillow! I know but I couldn't resist.  I went to Target the other day and walked by the towel section.  Well on an end cap they have Halloween towels and rugs.  All are very cute.  I certainly am not in the need of anything Halloween.  But I saw this rug and thought it would make the best pillow.  It is super thick so I wasn't sure how it would sew.  But not a problem.  I didn't even break a needle.  I added a lime green bath towel to the back side.  Oh and remember I used one of my everyday decorative pillows to put inside.
I have to say now my couch is complete.  I absolutely love it.  So make one for yourself.  You will love it as much and I do. I just know it!!!!

Halloween Pillows

Who doesn't like decorative pillows when it comes to decorating.  Well I found it difficult finding just the right ones.  What I did is I turned hand kitchen towels and bath towels into my Halloween pillows.  You don't have to go out and buy forms for them:
Big Euros are bath towels and little orange one is a big fabric napkin

Kitchen Towels

I just added my every day pillows inside the forms that I made.  There are tons of cute hand towels out there to choose from.  Some I would just sew a big square and others I added a little ball fringe.
So if you have a sewing machine try this tip.

Decorating for Halloween!

I adore Halloween.  I would have to say it would be at the top of my list for being the best holiday.  As an artist, the possibilities  are endless when it comes to creating for this spooky holiday. In addition to creating art I also have a passion for decorating.  Here are some pictures of what my home looks like on Halloween.

My One of a Kind Originals Houses

The garland has some store bought items and there are also some Halloween artist creations.

This is my first post I think in years!  I really forgot how to do all this.  I hope everyone is getting into the Halloween spirit.  I know I am.  I've been working on my mantel.  I am anxious to add a HoHoHalloween  piece this year to my collection.

I have several Retro Rudolph's piece's displayed in the garland! They are a great addition to the holiday look! Can you find them?

Most of the ornaments on the garland are from Hobby Lobby!  They are just the cheap ones you get 6 to a bag.  They come in a bunch of glittered colors.  I have black, lime green, hot pink, purple and orange.  Right now I think hobby lobby is having 40% off Christmas ornaments now.  I also added black and orange shredded paper garland and in addition to orange berries. The base of the garland is a black lighted garland from Christmas Traditions.

I'll send more pictures soon!
